The service
The S+ Money CIS Refund Calculator is a free information tool published by Sovereign Plus Money Ltd (company registration in progress). It estimates a CIS subcontractor's tax refund or bill from figures you enter, using the GOV.UK rates for the tax year you pick.
Estimates, not advice
Results are estimates for information only, not tax, financial or legal advice. They depend on the figures you enter and leave out things listed on the help page. HMRC's calculation from your Self Assessment return decides what you're actually owed or owe. Don't rely on the estimate to make financial commitments.
Your responsibilities
- Enter honest figures and only claim expenses that are allowable for your business.
- Don't misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it for anything unlawful.
Our liability
We take care that the rates and formulas are correct, but we don't guarantee the estimate is accurate or complete. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for loss arising from reliance on an estimate. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
Filing service
If you ask S+ Money to file your return, that service is under a separate engagement agreed with you before any work starts.
Changes and law
We may update the calculator and these terms. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
